Caring for women, children, and animals in Southern and East Africa through plant-based change
Guided by the belief that all living beings are equally worthy of care, we work to protect the most vulnerable across Uganda and Zambia: wild animals facing poaching and habitat loss, farmed and aquatic animals subjected to poor welfare conditions, and women and children in rural communities without access to education, career opportunities, or basic infrastructure like clean water and sanitation.
Who We Are
Luv4All Foundation (LFA) is a nonprofit based in Mubende, Kassanda District, Uganda and Lusaka, Zambia. We work across Uganda and Zambia to advance plant-based living and protect animals across Southern and East Africa.
We focus on change that is grounded in local cuisine and carried out through collaboration with local communities, because we know that change sticks when communities are part of shaping it.
We've supported 2,000+ farmers through solar-powered irrigation and low-interest seed loans.
We run the only 100% plant-based primary school in Uganda and certify 200+ young people annually as plant-based living ambassadors across Uganda and Zambia.
We're active in food systems, education, animal welfare, and rural infrastructure.
We're the first organization in Southern and East Africa to deploy electrical stunning pilots for aquatic animal welfare.
Our work focuses on four connected areas across Southern and East Africa.
What We Do
Plant-Based Food and Nutrition
We work with schools, hospitals, and communities across Uganda and Zambia to shift to local plant-based proteins like soy, groundnuts, and indigenous beans, and distribute plant-based supplements to address micronutrient gaps.
We partner with institutions on 100% plant-based meal programs and host an annual 3-Day Vegan Fellowship Summit on plant-based health and policy.
Education and Youth Leadership
We run Atlas Vegan Community School in Mubende, Uganda – a 100% plant-based primary school serving 200+ learners, 80% of them vulnerable children studying for free.
Through Luv4All Educator Academy, we certify 200+ young people annually as plant-based living ambassadors across Uganda and Zambia, training them to carry the movement forward in their own communities. We also equip rural students with digital literacy skills.
Animal Welfare and Conservation
We protect Ugandan and Zambian animals across three fronts: farmed animals through driver certification and humane handling training, aquatic animals through shoreline audits and fisher education, and wild animals through community-led rhino anti-poaching and habitat restoration.
We advocate for animal rights through radio and digital media in Swahili and other local languages.
Sustainable Communities
We replace wood-burning stoves with solar kitchens to eliminate smoke inhalation and stop deforestation. We support 2,000+ farmers with solar-powered water systems for year-round, veganic farming, and provide safe drinking water to rural villages through solar-powered pumping stations.
We also offer low-interest loans for women and youth running plant-based businesses, vocational training in culinary arts and regenerative farming, and build ethical revenue streams through eco-tourism and specialty coffee to fund our conservation and nonprofit work.
Featured Program
Protecting Rhinos across Uganda and Zambia
By the 1980s, poaching had wiped out entire rhino populations across Uganda and Zambia. Since their reintroduction in the 2000s, the threat hasn't gone away – the illegal horn trade still looms, and as populations grow, human development encroaches on rhino habitats, increasing the risk of human-rhino conflict.
Luv4All Foundation works with local communities, schools, and conservation organizations to protect rhinos across Southern and East Africa.
We do this by educating communities and involving them in the process – because conservation depends on cooperation with local communities. We also advocate for better policies and practices and collaborate directly with stakeholders and conservation organizations.
"For centuries, rhinos have symbolized endurance and patience, surviving in balance with their environment. In honoring the rhino, we honor a way of living that cherishes all life, big and small."
– Musisi Mike Kibirige, Founder & Executive Director
